It starts with thoroughbred we breed, break, race and and retrain! Retraining, sales and OTTB aftercare is our main stay as well as Equine Dentistry. At CYS we have a nice selection of horses for sale at all times. We pride ourselves on taking our time and not rushing the process. Our horses all get a solid foundation on ground manners and learning to be good citizens. We do eventing, dressage , hunters / jumpers, and foxhunting with several local hunts. Our horses all hack out to Fair Hill, Bohemia state park regularly. We work to devople Amateur friendly mounts for the everyday rider. We are located in beautiful Earleville, Maryland.

Starting Young Horses
A well started horse is a good horse. It starts at day one. As breeders, owners, and trainers we want our horses to be correctly handled from day one. We are horseman and believe in creating a solid foundation. Our young horses learn to lead at a few days old and get feet handled. We instill manners and boundaries.
Race Horse Starting
We start young racing prospects for other trainers as well as our own. The horses stay at Sharp farm for a minimum of 90 days in order to back and get them prepared for their new racing career. Farm board starts at $65 per day. Once ready to run it is $85 per day, We are different in that we bill at the beginning on the month. This allows us to manage our program with no payment delays, If you choose to leave before the training is up there is no refunds. While in our care horses learn valuable life skills. Which in turn makes their future career so much more successful. While at our farm horses get as much turnout as they need to be happy and healthy.
